The very latest Intel Atom2 (Z330) Dual CPUs are starting to appear in our products. there are indeed TWO CPUs - so that means twice the power, they are HT too - so Windows will see 4x CPU cores! Don't worry though, they only add 3-4W onto our Atom systems power !

Tranquil PC wins contract to supply T7 Core2Duo powered PCs to London Underground IT refresh program.  The PCs, having passed stringent safety protocols will power and be deployed to all platforms over the coming years.  Gaining 'type approval' for this project confirms Tranquil's commitment to quality procedures and practices. 

May 2008
Tranquil PC launch the Intel Atom CPU powered PCs.  These new systems bring desktop like performance at a fraction of the power consumption.  The T2e and T7 chassis are quickly re-engineered to ensure that the Tran Cool CPU / Chipset cooling products are adopted to the new Atom main boards.  Tranquil are proud to be the world's first company the ship systems powered by Intel's new CPU - and what a great tiny CPU it is.



March 2008
Tranquil PC wins contract to supply T2e servers to French military contractor, for use in secure SatComms systems engineering.  Systems will be delivered over the next 4-5 years.  The system is the same as supplied to Alcatel-Lucent, by Tranquil PC

February 2008
BBC equips new outside broadcast trucks with T2e Intel Core2Duo systems, for forthcoming events, including the Olympics.


December 2007
Tranquil PC deliver T7 systems to multiple museums and galleries across the UK, as the benefits of the T7 are seen, especially the 'wall bracket'.  The Imperial War Museum decides to swap out old systems and deploy T7 PCs to service the IT class rooms of the museums.


November 2007
Tranquil PC launch the T2-WHS series of Home Servers.  Offering increased storage and expandability options.  Built on the previous and on-going success of the T7-HSA in September, the T2-WHS series has attracted huge media interest. 


October 2007
Tranquil PC introduce the T7 'wall plate' system.  This smart bracket allows the T7 PC to be attached to a wall or desk etc (or even to the floor of a train).  This system securely locks the PC in place.  The single bracket also allows the T7 PC to mount to the rear of any VESA Screen, i.e. desk top PC screens, saving precious desk space.  If a T7 is fitted to a wall, with one of the kits, another kit can be fitted to a screen, and the screen engaged to the PC.  This has proven to be enable many clients to deploy 'smart' systems in the digital signage market.


September 2007
Tranquil PC start shipping the T7-HSA.  This tiny device, the size of a hard back book, could change the way we work.  Powered by Windows Home Server, it is typical example of how the impossible must become reality. A T7 chassis with a 3.5" (1TB) HDD was never planned to be made.  The T7-HSA became the world's first Windows Home Server appliance


July 2007
Tranquil PC win order to replace all PCs at International Institute for Environment and Development offices over next 2 years.  The out going Dell PCs will be replaced with efficient T2e systems powered by low energy VIA CPUs.


June 2007
Tranquil PC wins design and manufacture contract for remote medical monitoring systems, due for mass production in 2008/9. This interesting project uses the T7 PC platform, with additional internal sub-systems, including our own Class 1 Medical Radio system.  Fitting a full PC, secondary CPU sub-system (with battery and charger) and the Radio System, in the tiny T7 is a challenge.


May 2007
Tranquil PC relocate to a brand new factory and offices in Trafford Park.  The new facility offers improved logistics, new offices factory and warehousing space, and a the room to expand in the future.  Queensmead Place has very secure site access and security systems, ensuring our peace of mind.
